Sing it Out

Sing It Out—Wyatt Dalton

I wrote this poem on the eve of my twentieth birthday. For a few weeks leading up to that day I had been struggling with so many internal conflicts and issues that were slowly taking over my life. But on the day I wrote this poem, I heard the song that I’ve imbedded below and I guess the rest was history.

-Wyatt

Breathe it in,
the calm that surrounds.
Breathe it in,
the peace that abounds.

Close your eyes,
and lay your head down.
Close your eyes,
to hear the absence of sound.

Still your mind,
no troublesome thoughts to rout.
Still your mind,
no worries to bother you now.

Breathe it in.
Breathe it in.
Breathe it in,
and let your soul sing it out.
